This website provides a vast source of new information as well as archives of useful data.

Radiology Central is a resource for radiologists run by a radiologist—Gary Radner, Director of Neuroimaging, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, and Assistant Professor of Radiology, University of Southern California. This site provides links for medical news in both radiology and general medicine, cases of the week/month websites, organizations, and departments, as well as specialty and educational resources. This is a good website to start with if one also wants information about medicine in general.

Radiology Info Net is a website with such resources for radiologists as online CME, cases, protocols, news, practice management information, and other information pertinent to the practicing radiologist. There are useful links to a conference calendar, expert opinions on subspecialty areas, and a forum for discussion with other radiologists.

Radiology.com has secured the most coveted URL of all the portals. It was founded in 1989 and later acquired in 1997 by iWeb Corporation for corporate development. Radiologist.com servces as an application service provider (ASP) with services that enable digitized medical images to be stored, retrieved, and transmitted online through a central, web-based image repository called ImageBank™.

Radiologyweb.com is a comprehensive site for radiologists, both practicing and in-training, with fact- and information-filled sections from “Insights and Impressions” to cases of the month. A CME, meeting finder, and job listings are included. The structure of this website is interesting in that it is commercially backed by an unrestricted grant from Bracco Diagnostics, has a team running the website, and is supported with educational material from an impressive list of individuals from Yale to Hong Kong. Registration is required to use most of the information available.
