Corporate History

Key Milestones in IDC History

1991 - Robin Winsor invented and developed a digital X-ray system.

1992 - Winsor filed a patent for the technology and formed a private company.

1995 - Imaging Dynamics Corporation (IDC) incorporated as a Canadian company in May. In November, IDC completed a public offering of its securities and commenced trading on the Alberta Stock Exchange, now the Canadian Venture Exchange.

1999 - IDC acquired patented technology and associated intellectual property from Robin Winsor completing the transfer of all intellectual property rights related to Winsor's invention.

2001 - Name changed to Imaging Dynamics Company Ltd. in June of this year. New trading symbol IDL also issued. In November, the Xplorer 1700 Direct Digital Radiography (DR) system was launched at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).

2002 - In August of this year, the first American order of Xplorer 1700 shipped to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston, MA. In November, the first Canadian order of the Xplorer 1700 DR system shipped to Prince George Regional Hospital in Prince George, B.C.

2003 - Two new products in just one year of production! The Xplorer 1500 launched in June and the Xplorer 1800 was launched in December.

2004 - In August of this year, the Xplorer 1600 was launched at the AHRA show held in Boston, MA. Later that year, an OEM agreement was signed with Beijing Wandong Medical Equipment Co. Ltd. (WDM), the largest manufacturer and distributor of X-ray products in China, servicing 30,000 customers through its network of over 80 dealers in Mainland China.

2005 - September 19. IDC is officially listed on the TSX. IDC had been previously listed on the Toronto Stock Venture Exchange (TSX-V) since November 2, 2001.

2005 - IDC expands their North American Sales team and launches the X2200 Dual Detector solution and the OrthoXP DR system designed specifically for Orthopaedics.  IDC sets another stellar year for global installs and revenues.

2006 - In October of this year, the IDC executive team of Darryl Stein, Robin Winsor and Karim Teja were awarded the "2006 Entrepreneur of the Year Award" by the firm of Ernst and Young in Alberta, Canada.

2007 - Frost & Sullivan, a respected independant research analyst firm, awarded IDC with the Technology Innovation of the Year award for its Xplorer DR technology.

2007 - In July of this year, IDC proudly showcased its new DR technology platform, the X-Series; and software at the AHRA and RSNA conferences.  The new tiered technology offers healthcare facilities of all sizes the ability to customize their DR solution.  IDC continues to demonstate it never stops innovating.

2008 - In February of this year, Mr. M. Thomas Boon joined IDC as President & CEO.

2008 - In September of this year, IDC was awarded the Deloitte Fast 50 award for its growth and standing as one of the top technology based companies in Canada.

2009 - In January of this year, Mr. Robin Winsor steps down as CTO of the company.

2009 - IDC Announces its largest OEM contract to date with 300 Units Awarded to IDC by the China Charity Foundation (CCF).
